5 Things to ROAR About – April 10, 2015

10 Apr

Well, another beautiful spring week is on the books (today’s weather notwithstanding), and we have had another fantastic week at West Langley Elementary.

  • Ms. Hall’s class are starting their Inquiry Projects, and spent some time Thursday sharing their ideas and starts with the class next door.
  • On Wednesday, we ran in our first Cross Country meet of the year. It was absolutely gorgeous at Aldergrove Lake Park, and the runners looked like they were having a great time. At the end, some of them claimed not to be tired, even!

  • On Thursday, Divisions 3 and 4 walked up to Walnut Grove to enjoy the play Mary Poppins. By all reports it was an excellent performance. You can check out some of their blog entries about it here.

  • On Friday, Bricks for Kids were here, helping Divisions 5, 9, 10 and 11 learn about engineering and design.
  • Now for a Gratitude ROAR! Division 3 want to thank Mrs. Roth for the set of cool pens that work as a stylus on tech, and as a regular pen AND a highlighter on paper! To steal from JRR Tolkien, it’s the one utensil to rule them all! It just doesn’t make us invisible.
